Christmas Collection Level 1: Mayron used the story of Christ's birth as recorded in the book of Luke to create a Christmas book that reflects the holiness of Christmas for your Level 1 staff note reading beginners. A narration weaves together traditional carols and some new original carols with great, singable melodies. This book makes a beautiful "end of the fall semester" performance for parents. Includes beautiful teacher accompaniments. Fifteen Level 1 solos with large notes for easy reading: "Little Gray Donkey," "Knock! Knock! Knock!," "Softly, Softly!," "Silent Night," "Dark Night," "O Little Town," "Joy to the World," "We Three kings," "Starlight," "I'll Bring A Gift," ""Away in a Manger," "Ding! Dong!," ""Noel," "Finale," "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." Please note that early Level 1A students who are not yet reading staff notes should use the Christmas Collection Menehune book (item CCM). (This operetta has same music as the Christmas Collection Menehune book. You can combine your MENEHUNE classes with your LEVEL 1 classes for a large, ensemble performance. Put two/three children on each keyboard! Both books follow identical melodic lines.)

Mayron's Tips for Teachers: An alternative to staging a play is to have your students learn all the sheet music and perform the compositions for their parents on the last lesson of the course. You or a student can narrate the story. Consider using hats for costumes and playing recital at the keyboards in your studio!
