  • October 12, 2008 Journey: Steve Perry Era. Incomplete.

Some what of an incomplete song selection. Journey was one of the best touring bands of the 1970's. This band has to rank up there with some of the best hard rock acts in rock n roll history. Now this is the Steve Perry anthology with Journey. Some of...

the songs here should include the hits Steve Perry & Greg Rolie sang on together with Journey. Also the songs 'Line Of Fire' and 'Lovin You is Easy' should really been included in this songbook. Other than that this is a pretty good book.

  • July 29, 2007 Artist-approved songbook ?...NOT!

This can't be a "artist-approved songbook",no way!!! When you play the songs as written you will hear the mistakes. If this is an artist-approved songbook, then Steve Perry really does not want to promote Jouney's music at all! Look I love Journey with Steve Perry...

& Gregg Rolie period! That's Journey at their best! But if the book promotes "artist-approved songbook" and then you get some chessy sounding arrangements like this that do NOT reflect the music of JOURNEY then I say Nay to this so-called "artist-approved songbook ". A real disappointment

  • June 20, 2007 No New Arrangements Here!

This collection of Journey tunes from the Steve Perry era are the same arrangements found on the Infinity song book, Evolution song book, Departure song book, Escape song book and Frontiers song book, which by the way are no longer in print! Along with some Steve Perry Solo Street Talk...

album stuff. All in all there are no new arrangements that cannot be found on the Jouney's Greatest Hits songbook sold here on sheetmusicplus.com (Editor's note sku number is AP.VF1175) the only thing that you'll be getting is an extended interview with Steve Perry. If you want to really learn these songs from Journey you'll need to transcribe them from the recordings because the arrangements here are useless if you are a cover band wanting to learn these tunes. Only the guitar chord tabs above the melody line is some what useful and key signatures is correct
