  • April 06, 2008 Love it!

On The Beaten Path is something that every drummer should pick up. I rated it Beginner, but really, any drummer regardless of skill level will dig this. I myself have been playing for about 6 years now. I'm about 3/4 of the way through the book so far...

and I've already learned so much, not only in my playing, but also about the drummers and the various styles and how they evolved over time. The timelines are very cool to see when all the great drumming moments hapened and how they fit together. Great photos too. Definitely buy it - there's too much great stuff here that no drummer should be living without!
