Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by James Strange. Contemporary,Instructional,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 12 pages. Penny Music Co. #6611. Published by Penny Music Co. (A0.896938).

P.I. Tchaikovsky (1840-93) was a Russian composer of the late romantic era. He employed a wide stylistic range across his works, from charming salon works to grand symphonies. This version of Tchaikovsky's "Old French Song" Op.39, no.16 for piano has been adapted and arranged to be performed by two bass guitarists. It is aimed at the beginner/intermediate level and allows two students the opportunity to duet. It can be used as a good exercise in practicing the G minor scale, double stopping, and collaborative listening.
