Oh, Come, Little Children

Oh, Come, Little Children composed by Lynn Shaw Bailey. Arranged by Becki Slagle Mayo. For Unison/2-part choir and piano (with optional finger cymbals, wood block, hand drum (conga), 3 octave handbells (3 octave handchimes)). Sacred Anthem, Christmas. Octavo. Published by Chorister's Guild (LO.CGA1099).

Enthusiasm permeates this arrangement of the well-known Christmas hymn inviting children one and all to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Easy to learn and memorize, the anthem's A section presents the familiar text and tune while the B section introduces new words and music. The two sections then have the option to combine to create a fun-to-sing partner song in the anthem's final section. Repetition in the optional instrumental parts makes them easy to learn and play for children of all ages.

  • June 27, 2012 O Come, Little Children

This tune has long been a favorite of mine. I ordered this arrangement because I believe it will be a fun, easy piece that can be performed by children and adults. We are looking forward to presenting as part of our Christmas music this year.

This is such a wonderful arrangement of this song! The children's choir will be singing this for our Christmas concert! It's very neat with the two parts and I would definitely recommend! Wonderful arrangement!!!
