Arranged for marimba quartet. Composed by Jacob Bittencourt. Arranged by Stephen Primatic. Percussion Ensembles. Folio and Parts on CD-ROM. Duration 3 minutes, 25 seconds. Published by Tapspace Publications (TA.TSPCE14-005).

O Voo Da Mosca (Flight of the Fly) is Brazilian mandolin virtuoso Jacob Bittencourt's answer to Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee. Adapted by Stephen Primatic for four players on three marimbas (plus optional upright bass and maracas), the quick pace and driving 3/4 meter captures the essence of the original work beautifully, happily carrying the listener on a Brazilian carnival ride with all the whirling and twirling to be had!

O Voo Da Mosca is provided as a full, bound folio and a CD-ROM containing printable parts and a recording.

Full Instrumentation:
3 marimbas (two 4.3-octave (low A) and one 5-octave (low C)), 1 upright bass (or other bass instrument) (opt.), and 1 set of maracas (opt.).
