This is an awesome and rhythmically driving work! It's a gospel arrangement of the hymn. Be sure that you have a talented pianist to play this one. It's more rhythmically complex for the instrumentalists than the singers! It really moves and has a perfect building interlude that takes...

you to the dominant and tonicizes that. It's a marvelous work! This is by far, the perfect closer for a Christmas concert. This piece has rhythmic teaching components to it, but the dynamics need special attention and so that can also be a teachable moment. It also has quarter-note triplets in the arrangement, so introductions to those would be beneficial also! You'll love it.
