This is the second book in this wonderful piano course. It, along with the Solo B and Activities B books teach half steps, whole steps, 5 finger patterns, and other theory (i.e. question/answer.) The student really flourishes in the set of books.

Level B provides a wonderful introduction to the 12 major keys, mostly in pentascale position. Unlike many multikey methods, this course moves the positions around on the piano, thus avoiding the misconception that key signatures only tell you where to place your hands. Accidentals are still used at this level...

, along with the pattern of whole and half steps. The pieces at this level are exciting to learn, although they become challenging rapidly. Olson's Audience Pleasers makes a great supplement to this level, which I highly recommend. Use the sheet music too: it's wonderful!
