  • June 14, 2011 Bad rap for a good collection

Had to write in response to the only review given so far which was very negative. I understand why he may have been disappointed; it is often difficult to get a feel for an entire collection from a page or two shown online. But this book is great for intermediate...

students. I don't think it would be easy for beginners because the parts are quite independent, but it isn't a technically difficult collection and could be used for a choir where there is counting strength in numbers. I like this book! Adult players/students interested in Baroque literature would, I think, like this book as well.

I ordered 4 books for recorder. I saw the samples on line. I thought they were challenging but when I received them the majority of the pieces in the books were no challenging at all. It's very difficult to buy music like this online. [...] Joe Ascone
