I loved this piece! I was only able to work with it for a week, but it was a fun piece and challenging for the band I was in. We all wished we'd have had more time with it. I love Narnia and all the music in it, this...

piece is missing some of the best pieces, but I love this arrangement, I'd play it again any time! To me this piece is right up there with "The Light Eternal." Narnia is a great piece for a Middle School Band or even a High School Band.

  • August 20, 2007 Nice arrangement, but more could be done with it.

Our community band just had a concert featuring movie music last Sunday, and we play this. The band members enjoyed it a lot. It was arranged quite well and didn't venture too far from the feel of the soundtrack itself. However, it is missing some of the most important...

melodies of the soundtrack. "Narnia Lullaby" is just one of the many melodies that is missed from this arrangement. As a composer, I came really close to "rearranging" this piece and add some of the beautiful melodic material that was missing. It's a pity really because this is one of the best scores written for the movies in the past couple of years in my opinion.
