  • March 31, 2009 The perfect book for starting students

As a cello teacher, this book is by far my favorite for the complet beginner. It start from open string and goes as far as basic thumb position. This include about everything you will need to do with your student: training exercises, scales, simple music, easy duets, etc. The content...

of this method is classical music (absolutely no Children music), include only the minimum fingering and good bowings.

  • June 19, 2008 A good book for beginner.

This book starts from open strings to intermediate and the approach of step by step in cello playing and understanding is excellent especially in teaching the positioning of the left hand. I've not yet found another book that is similar to this book.
