I got this book about a month ago. It is very good for practicing whether you are working very specifically on one piece getting it as good as you can or I also use it for practicing sight reading. I've also used copies of a couple of the pieces...

    for auditions.

these fun filled exercises for the trombone are so beautiful to play and they progressively get harder but they are so melodious that you hardly realize the difficulty. i guarantee this to be the book to keep on your music stand to warm up to first thing as i do...

I have played the Rochut books I through III for thirty years. In combining technical challenge, beautiful music, and pleasurable play there is nothing comparable in the trombone literature. If you can master the etudes in book III, you can play just about anything!

  • 2005-12-16 00:00:00.0 Essential Trombone Book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you do not have this book and are a trombone player, you need it. Many states use this in their All-State Auditions, college professors use this book, professional trombone players use this in their warm- up..........getting the picture? Some of the pieces can be a little difficult...

and occationally arc to Bflats and C's above the staff, but you will grow into all the selections as technique increases.
