    Difficulty Level:
  • January 31, 2008 Obeisance for a great musician

Blues is the still the root for many styles of music. Here EC put in his style to the basic Blues and honors one of his biggest influences. Great to play or to work with. You can bring in your own ideas and let this music live forever. Chapeau

Is a very good book, but not all the DVD musics are there. Please look for the musics to make sure that this is the book you want.

    Difficulty Level:
  • February 09, 2007 Clapton delivers again

There have been many interpretations of Robert Johnsons work, most attempting to sincerely deliver an honest appraisal of the music for his fans. Eric Clapton's book is the best yet. If you have the DVD of the same name, you have a wonderful Robert Johnson resource of study and...

enjoyment that will last forever, delivered by one of the best.

    Difficulty Level:
  • June 16, 2006 Clapton pays homage to blues legend

Clapton's reworking of Robert Johnson's legendary blues songs. Typical well tabbed out book that follows CD of same name. For those of you hate alternate tunings (or just having to retune after switching songs!), only 20% of these have alternate tunings. And most of those are for the...

slide parts. Also, be prepared to work on your fingerstyle/hybrid picking chops. Those classic Johnson turnarounds require that skill. Most cuts are on electric guitar (while all of Johnson's were on acoustic)...so you can keep your Strat strapped on most of the time. Get the "Sessions for Robert J" CD/DVD to see Slowhand play many of these tunes.
