This DVD is a perfect and needed supplement to the book. I would suggest this for any serious music teacher or student.

I purchased this DVD as well as the corresponding book for a hefty fee thinking I would be rewarded with some incredible revelations about piano "technique". What I got was a set of boring terminology and emotionless dry academic presentations attempting to dissect and decompose how a person should position...

their body and extremities (fingers included) at the keyboard. I couldn't make it through the DVD and I feel like burning the book together with it's DVD rather than going through the embarrassment of sending it back for a refund. I figure I'll keep it in my "mistakes" section of the bookshelf to collect dust over the years. Stay away from this one......you'd do far better by finding some "freebie" piano technique discussions online.

  • May 12, 2008 the best you can find

i wanted to write another review of mr fink teaching material almost two years after i have been studying it, you will not find anything better than this anywhere, it is absolutely the best you can find in piano technique, totally revolutionary and superb, in fact i am amazed how...

this teaching material is so little known, two words of caution, in order to acquire a full benefit from this technique you have to purchase both: the dvd and the book and...you will have two work here for some time but once you have done it you will be at the other side of the line forever this is a unique gift, thanks a lot mr seymour fink.
