This new series from DOREMI features the eminent Martha Argerich, one of the most loved and admired classical pianists of all time. She quickly gained world-wide reputation for her exciting live performances after she won the seventh International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsay in 1965 when she was just 24 years old. She currently serves as president of the International Piano Academy Lake Como and performs each year at the Lugano Festival. A shy performer, she has remarked that she feels lonely on a solo recital stage, and has thus dedicated the past three decades to concertos and chamber music. These four new volumes are the most recent releases in DOREMI's special series of rare archival broadcasts featuring the artistry of the young Argerich from early in her spectacular career which has spanned more than five decades. All of these items are live broadcasts which have never before been released.
