Great singers - much better than Streep/Brosnan. Spoke to the company, there are no lyrics because ABBA doesn't allow it.

  • June 24, 2009 VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THERE ARE NO LYRICS

IT IS USELESS TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS THE LYRICS. I CAN'T EVEN FIND ALL THE LYRICS ON THE INTERNET.THERE ARE NO PROMPTS OR HINTS FOR WHEN THE LYRICS BEGIN. YOU NEED TO ALREADY KNOW ALL THE SONG OR HAVE THE SHEET MUSIC TO USE THIS CD. IT IS...

VERY FRUSTRATING TO USE. I HAD NO IDEA WHEN I ORDERED THIS CD THAT THIS WAS THE FORMAT OR I WOULD NOT HAVE ORDERED IT.

  • December 03, 2008 Great Mamma Mia Accompaniment

Excellent accompaniment for both vocals and instruments. This disc is pretty true to the sheet music with only a few slight variations. One or two songs had slightly different repeats and slightly different lyrics on the vocal track. Some have extra lead-in that isn't on the original music...

, but that's great for accompaniment. I play the flute and got this to provide the accompaniment while I play the vocal line on flute. Works very well for that. Too much reverb on the vocal track, but is otherwise very nice and close to the original. In fact, the timing and consistency in this version is much more correct and exact than the soundtrack, where the singers tended to rush some parts. However, the soundtrack seems to have more drive, particularly ones like "Take a Chance on Me", which, needs more drive on this karaoke version. Overall, an excellent accompaniment choice, but I haven't compared against other Mamma Mia compilations, so don't know if this is the best one overall.
