This is an excellent vehicle for teaching contrast between the two style markings used throughout the piece: legato and marcato. Make sure that marcato passages are not too short; rather, they should have a bounce to them and a slight separation between
As its title suggests, Majestica is a musical celebration. The piece itself, while not programmatic in nature, receives its inspiration from the enthusiasm shown by the many young students in music. It seeks to embody the very magic that is music - the ability to transcend all languages and communicate any emotion.

About FJH Beginning Band

Appropriate within the first year of instruction and beginning of the second year. Clarinets do not go above the break, and there is limited use of accidentals. Plenty of doublings in the lower voices. Grade 1.
