  • August 30, 2009 A nice arrangement

The first page of the score is really straight forward starting with four bars of a nice introduction before going into the main theme. Then starting bar 15 the melody switches to the left hand and is marked "mp". The right hand plays accompaniment at twice the speed and is...

marked "p". This is the section that gets a bit tricky to bring out the melody in the left hand clearly over the right hand and takes intermediate level skills. But the pattern is simple enough to memorize it quickly. I found getting this middle section to sound right and uniform to the rest to be the fun part about learning this piece. Getting the dymanics right with marking like "broaden" and "loco" is a big part of getting the middle section to sound nice. After the middle transitional section it returns to the main melody again. The rest like the beginning falls into the easy piano category for an intermediate player.

  • February 22, 2009 ok

this piece is ok for someone who is an intermediate player, It is an enjoyable piece to play for someone who wants to play the main theme, but not too difficult. However the 2nd part of the song is a completely different arrangement to the movie, and needlessly difficult in...

chords. If you are looking for a version closer to francis lai version straight from the movie, then this isnt the version to go for. I have been searching the world for sheet music close to the movie, and am yet to find it. I am very dissappointed. if anyone knows where I can get a version, please leave me some email.

  • August 06, 2008 not for me

This piece of music starts out fine but in the middle there is a long run that doesn't even seem to go with the rest of the piece. I liked the beginning and the end of it, but the middle seemed like a frustrating waste of a beautiful song...

  • July 28, 2008 Simple but fun to play

Simple piece that sounds richer and more complex than it actually is. Also very easy to embellish chords.
