  • January 06, 2014 Attribution of "Lollipop"

The song "Lollipop" was not by The Chordettes. It was written by Beverly Ross, who sang on the first release of "Lollipop" as "Ruby" of the duo 'Ronald and Ruby'..... .....check it out on Wikipedia. There is a story there that does NOT speak well of tolerance and racial inclusiveness...

in the USA of the 1950's.
