  • April 08, 2009 deservedly famous

"Love's sorrow" (there is also a love's joy) is a famous melody. Again, I can't do all the shifting but I love to play it anyway. A piece this beautiful makes you want to play and play...

  • January 27, 2009 So-so print job

This edition was printed rather lightly in the violin solo part, but by no means was illegible, just be aware before purchasing that the music will be a dark grey.

  • September 28, 2007 A rhythmical twist to the waltz...

Price was good. Shipping time was good. But the ink on the page is so faint it is very tough to see! My teacher said I should complain and request a better copy.

  • December 19, 2006 Beautiful work

This is a truly beautiful work. I would also recommend it to musicians of other instruments than violin. I play it on trombone and the style of the piece perfectly fits the instrument. I know Christian Lindberg has played it and the recording is available on his CD "The virtuoso...

trombone". The piece would probably also be great played by a Baritone or a French horn.

  • March 02, 2006 Flimsy paper makes playing difficult

The composition itsself is really nice--but it is printed on such flimsy paper that the music keeps folding over on the music stand, or slumping down and landing on the floor. The piano part is a loose sheet inside of a double sheet. When you turn the first page...

, the middle sheet comes flying out and lands on the floor. I taped it together and now the whole thing just slumps over after I turn the page and I have to keep reaching up and propping other music books on either side to keep it up! I am considering xeroxing the whole thing on heavier paper!
