From Fr. Jim Marchionda's 2013 CD In God I Trust comes this enthusiastic choral work based on Psalm 122. The clever use of syncopation and meter shifts in the opening bars of the refrain immediately draws our focus to this message of hope. The verses modulate up a minor third and the four-voice texture with step-wise voice leading throughout is certainly choir-friendly. In the absence of a choir, a cantor and keyboard or guitar will work just fine.
