Excellent arrangements. Flute and piano parts go together quite easily. Some of the pieces are more challenging technically while others are quite sight-readable, just need more control than technical wizardry.

My two daughters, one on piano and one on flute just love this book. It is not real difficult, so they just enjoy playing through the songs for enjoyment (and the enjoyment of their listeners!)

I love this book! I agree with Greg from Seattle. I think you can do a lot of your own interpretation with the melodies. The more advanced flutist/[pianist can take much more artistic freedom. My mother was Irish and I played "Women of Ireland" at her funeral. It was...

awesome to be able to give that gift to her--It was my way to describe her musically.

    Difficulty Level:
  • October 27, 2008 good for the library

This has a little for everybody. The pieces are not easy, but they leave room for some interpretation and arrangement. There was a comment that they were too simple, but I don't agree. To me with this type of music the rest is up to the more advanced player...

. This is a good representation to me of what they're trying to accomplish and is a good grounding. I enjoyed the book and thought it was well worth the price.
