  • September 23, 2008 I really like this book.

My flute teacher and I play a song from this book after each week's practice. Some of the songs are not very long and that makes it perfect practice until I master it and we move on. It's like a bonus at the end of our regular lesson...

. Really helps me learn to keep time and play along with others.

  • September 21, 2008 Super Book!

My flute teacher really likes this book. After our lesson, she will pick out a song to play for fun. She likes this book so it must be good because she is picky about what she lets me play. It starts out really easy and progresses to much more difficult...

arrangements. Of all of my duet books, this one is my favorate.

  • November 15, 2007 Students love this book!

This duet book is perfect for 2nd year students who aren't quite ready for the Rubank Selected Duets/vol.1 book. The collection of songs by well-known composers are very playable, kids recognize the melodies and really have fun playing them! I like the fact that in many...

of the pieces each part gets a chance to play the melody and the harmony, which is perfect for teaching about how duets work. I am always ordering more of these books for my students!

  • May 25, 2007 Disappointed-actual level of difficulty below desc

I was very disappointed when my flute duet book arrived. The material was in my opinion below the level of difficulty described. I wish more "views" of the songs included would have been provided.

  • December 11, 2001 Great Duet Book

I have had great success using this book with my students, particularly those in their second year of lessons. There is a nice assortment of styles in this book, from Boismortier to a medley of George M. Cohan tunes to Stravinsky. The kids love the book and so do I...
