    . . . Mr. Gately uses his own system of numbering double bass left hand positions, which numbers are entirely different from the numberings taught by bass teachers worldwide for the past 200 years. If you don't renumber his hand positions--as I did--you will have a hard time talking with...

    bass teachers and other bassists. Other than that, this is a great book for beginners.
