Suitable for the beginning of year two of study, this lovely pentatonic melody is harmonized in fourths, fifths, and sixths. A few dotted rhythms may require attention but the focus will be on beautiful tone and developing vibrato. Second violins, violas, and cellos will use forward extension. First violin may be played entirely in first position but fingerings for third position have been included for the adventurous.
