  • January 30, 2009 Details, details, details!

This book touches on the details that students don't always think about. Having it printed on the page next to the piece is a great reminder when practicing! It makes them think more about the "music" and not just the notes and fingering, etc..Very thorough!

  • July 15, 2008 Excellant repertoire

While Clarfield's directions concerning pedaling, color and rubato will be helpful especially to a new teacher, her comments on body choreography and technique are definitely controversial. As in book 1, the repertoire is outstanding!
