  • July 31, 2013 THIS MADE MY LIFE.

So it was my last year in band and I begged and begged to do a John Williams song at our end of the year concert. My directors ended up choosing this piece and it was WONDERFUL. I honestly believe that they couldn't have chose something better. The whole...

band loved it, including myself. When I found out we were playing it, I just burst into tears. I love John Williams' music and my favorite song is the Jurassic Park score and it was in this arrangement so I was unbelievably excited. The audience definitely loved all of these recognizable tunes. It was definitely the crowd's favorite, along with the band's. Some sections were challenging, like the time signature in "Star Wars," and the tempo in "Duel of the Fates," and the ritardando towards the very end of the song. But once we practiced it enough, I feel like we all really nailed it by the end of the performances (we played multiple concerts).

I played this piece with my band and everyone loved it. Almost everybody had seen the movies and so they liked to play the music from it. J. Williams is a great composer and "Movie Adventures" represents every aspect of Williams's musical knowledge. The scores were accurate and quite...

good adapted to play on wind instruments.

  • October 04, 2007 Awsome for an end-of - year concert

When my band played this song, everyone loved it so much, we could hardly play any other songs. Everyone wanted to play this, and it was worth the time. Although the clarinet part is a bit challenging, we held it down. And I loved the Baritone parts, mainly because I...

play it, but if you want a wonderful selection, add this to it.

  • May 19, 2007 Great piece

This is a good song to play. It includes pieces from great songs, songs that people would recognize. I enjoy playing this piece. I play the flute, and in a couple of parts, it's a little trickier. But overall, an outstanding piece.
