  • January 27, 2009 Worthwhile for all levels of guitarists

The content of John Stowell's Jazz Guitar Mastery may be beyond what I can achieve in this lifetime, however his approach is so clear, concise and stimulating that from watching the video 4 times now (there will be more viewings) the light bulbs of understanding things that I didn...

't understand before went on for me. Applying his demonstrations to my own playing is having a positive effect on my playing and on my mental frame of reference.

  • August 25, 2007 Now this is communication!

In short, John Stowell communicates (on the DVD) information succinctly yet extensively that is perfect to getting on with the concepts in the booklet. His quick pace (yet not too fast) of information and how to use it immediately with a sense of humor is by far the best instructional...

DVD I have ever seen. The concepts are unique compared to the redundant information that has been released over the years. All of the material in the book is just the beginning of what can be expanded on infinitely with discipline and inspiration to keep creating an original voice. This is the kind of instructor/teacher I would also prefer for collage classes (math, anything)where technical information is communicated in a non-intimidating fashion. My thanks go out to John Stowell for putting this inspiring product out.

  • May 02, 2007 Work on Your Chops

John helps you to see things in a brand new way and put it all togehter. He lays down a concept, builds on it and then adds another in a logical manner. As an imtermediate player who wants to expand in jazz improvisation, I am slowly going through the material...

. These lessons will last me a long time!
