rated as intermediate because you've gotta know you basic chord and scale theory which many guitarists don't. this book gives some very good techniques for soloing on different types of chord progressions from standards to jazz blues. it also has chord soloing and adding basslines to your playing...

. everything in this book is very effective if you've got that prerequisite of theory knowledge i highly recommended it. the cd is somewhat helpfull, but i dont use it barely at all. what i like about this book is that all the tools here are easy to apply, from building tension to comping, there is quite a bit covered.
