  • June 20, 2007 Nice collection but a bit redundant

This is a nice collection of 10 classic jazz tunes. Each is presented in fake-book format, with just melody and chord progression. I would disagree with their marketing: the chord changes are pretty accurate, not dumbed-down to be "easy". The redundancy arises because everything is repeated for Bb...

and Eb instruments and also on bass clef. I believe that everybody should learn to read in concert pitch. The book includes a play-along CD with a great rhythm section and very professionally recorded.
