This simple percussion ensemble piece can be prepared for performance in just a few rehearsals. There are several easier parts written for auxiliary percussion instruments that will allow students who are new to percussion to participate in the ensemble as well. (The piece also sounds fine without them, so use as needed.) This piece has multiple instances of melodic parts entering on the second half of the 4th beat, and would be an excellent piece to use in working on basic syncopation. (I included a marimba 2 part in bass clef for those who prefer it.) Please listen to the MP3 file I have included to get a better idea of what the piece sounds like. Thank you for your interest in my music, and feel free to contact me if you are performing one of my works.
