Irish Blessing is an ecumenical setting of the traditional Irish text (adapted) for soprano voice, flute and piano. The vocal line - a lilting melody which hints of both Celtic and contemporary music -- alternates with a lively, dancing flute interlude. This song is a real crowd pleaser that is useful for church services, recitals, school programs and concerts. The vocal part is appropriate for solo soprano voice or unison choir. The flute part may also be played on violin, oboe or alto recorder. The set of parts is in both the key of C and D.
