  • September 28, 2012 LOVE IT!!

I absolutely love this song! We performed it as a choir and I also performed it as part of a double quartet. The words and music are amazing. The feeling it leaves can only be described as the true meaning of Christmas! This is a MUST at Christmas time!

Our choir and congregation loved this arrangement. We all enjoy singing traditional carols and to make this into a quodlibet with the lovely original refrain was well done. I was so glad to find more copies at Sheet Music Plus. Thanks.

  • January 18, 2009 Great piece!

I found that our choir really enjoyed singing this piece. Since the parts repeat themselves and the other melodies found within the song are already familiar, it was very easy for the choir to learn. It if a beautiful arrangement and one that I would highly recommend.

  • October 26, 2007 A New Christmas Favorite

My church choirs have been singing this piece for several years now. Its message is fresh - "Would I have been one who heard the angels and recognized the Savior?" - and will be for generations. The congregation requests it every season. The intermixing of beloved, timeless carols with new melodies is...

perfect. Thanks to the Poormans (and their Heavenly inspiration) for a new Christmas favorite!

  • December 05, 2006 Simply beautiful

What an inspirational song! The melody, which is simple yet hauntingly familiar, weaves its way between the different parts and around the Christmas carol The First Noel. Our church choir is performing this song for Christmas Eve. I defy anyone not to get a little emotional when they sing or...

    even listen to this song.
