One of the Best band music of Alfred Reed. Especially I love the middle section. This is very impressive!! This score has been produced in a simple paper.

As a 16 year old band student who plays the flute, I love this piece. I started playing it with our school's band when I was in grade 10 (it was the grade 11/12 band). It was tricky at first, but once I got to know it, I...

loved it. A even got to keep a copy and I practice it several times per week. This piece is fantastic. We even went to the Canadian MusicFest nationals for it and won a gold award. Also, for our competition for this piece we were playing in an old train station in Ottawa, and although it wasn't at all what w were used to, the fantastic echo sounded fabulous. We had played it previously that trip in a brand new high school, but the auditorium was completely dead so it didn't have nearly the same effect. Whatever the venue, the Hounds of Spring is a keeper.
