This work by Syrian-American composer Kareem Roustom was commissioned by the Boston Children's Chorus, December, 2007. 1. "I write for my heart / Has become a country / And I want all people / To live in it." 2. "I live my life / In two alphabets / On the line / Arabic runs / From right to left On the line / English runs / From left to right..." 3. "Tell me who you are / And what your heart loves / I will tell you who I am and / Who my father was..." This piece is sung mostly in English. The edition includes a pronunciation guide for the Arabic words which occur incidentally.
