  • July 16, 2011 Excellent version

This book is true to the original productions with complete renditions. If you want the original complete version, I'd get this book. We used it for "Everything is Coming Up Roses" and the written score went perfectly with the karaoke version.

  • February 05, 2009 Original Gypsy Vocal Selections - very nice

This book contains every hit song in the show from the original Broadway version starring Ethel Merman. The songs are incredibly fun to sing and great for a low belter. (alto or mezzo soprano) I would suggest listening to the 2008 Gypsy soundtrack starring Patti LuPone to get an idea...

of how the songs should be sung. I used 16 bars of "You'll Never Get Away From Me" for 2 auditions and it went very well. I would suggest buying this book; its chock-full of musical theatre gems.
