Guitar A-Frame Support

Guitar A-Frame Support composed by Aaron Shearer. For Guitar (Classical). Miscellaneous product. Classic. Accessory. Published by Sageworks (MB.94390AX).

ISBN 9780786615209. Classic. 4 x 10.25 inches.

The A-frame is designed to adjust the angle of the guitar neck to aid in perfect positioning for playing. Highly recommended by Aaron Shearer. The A-Frame adjustable guitar support is simple to use, yet offers a greater variety of positioning than has ever been available for the guitarist. The ability to make adjustments to 3 separate aspects of positioning, and then lock them into your optimum playing position is a unique feature of the A-Frame. Uses Suction Cups to attach to Guitar.

"The A-Frame supports and positions the guitar right where I want it and allows me to play seated, in a relaxed, stress free position with both feet flat on the ground. What a relief!"
-Alex de Grassi

"The A-Frame Adjustable Guitar Support brings the guitar comfortably to the human form. Its simple good sense is remarkable; its effect positively medicinal."
-William Ackerman, Founder of Windham Hill Records & steel string guitarist / composer

"The A-Frame offers an incredible range of positioning options. Most importantly, it allows the guitar to be positioned relative to the player's body - not the other way around. It is the most significant thing to happen to the guitar since the addition of the sixth string!"
-Christopher Berg, Guitar Professor - University of South Carolina

"I have tried the existing devices of the last 20 years that should alleviate back problems. The most revolutionary, helpful and practical invention is without a doubt the A-Frame. I highly recommend the A-Frame to all guitar players with back problems - and those who may get them sooner or later!"
-Konrad Ragossnig

"I highly recommend the A-Frame to all classical guitarists. It is excellent for posture and helps to avoid all unbalanced positions."
-David Russell

  • August 09, 2012 A frame guitar support

Having been able to contact the distributer since my previous review I have found that a prior wiping of the contact surface with a slightly damp cloth has helped with two of my guitars - it seems that any accumulated microscopic dust will interfere with the adhesion of the cups. With...

the third guitar they still slip around as before. I think I'll stick with the footstool .

  • July 08, 2012 A Frame guitar support

I found this device very frustrating. I have three (steel string) guitars and the suction caps wouldn't stay stuck to any of them for long. I was also unable to contact the manufacture to enquire about this. Did anyone else have this problem?

  • August 27, 2011 Aframe

The A frame does what it says on the box, easy to adjust and anyone can fit. However if your guitar bout widths are slightly smaller than the width of the suckers (flattened) it has a tendency to come loose

  • October 30, 2009 great invention!

This frame means a small revolution for my playing. I´ve played classical guitar for over 25 years, and I never was always struggling with my posture. I find I can sit very comfortably with the frame and play one or two hours. I even enjoy the sound of my...

guitar more because I can now hold my head more over the soundhole. (sorry, don't know the English term) So I think it's a great invention, it has given me an new boost.

  • September 13, 2007 Excellent support

The A-Frame Support works out realy wel for me. It corrects my posture and is quite comfortable to use. Much better than my footstool. It holds up the guitar beautifully and does not slide away. After a few weeks I noticed some marks on my guitar where the suction...

cups go. However, with soft cloth and some furniture polish the marks came of very easily. My guitar has a lacquer finish. It also fits easily in my guitar case below the string tuners and upper neck.
