    Alta Loma, CA
    Difficulty Level:
  • April 14, 2011 Close, but not close enough for me

If you are looking for an exact transcript of this Booker T. and the MGs classic song, this is not it. First off, its not in the key from the most-played single version of the song (which to my ear is in F, not G), and secondly, the intro...

only gives you the first chord in the progression (not the III and V). I can't tell if the organ solo is accurate or not, chances are, its close as well, but not 100%. So this gets 2 stars from me. Frankly, if it was me, and I was trying to cover this song, I would save my $ and view the several good you-tube tutorials on this song. It would be OK if you were only wanting to get the feel for the tune.
