Published by Mark Reeves (A0.748660).This arrangement of Erik Satie’s Gnossienne No. 3 has a simplified accompaniment in the left hand whilst the right hand’s melody remains exactly the same as the original version. A time signature and bar lines have been added, along with suggested fingering and pedalling. Two slurs, not in the original printed edition, have also been added. All slurs and dynamic markings in the original score have been retained and the quirky, sometimes surreal, musical directions have also been included. Unlike other editions and arrangements of this work, English translations have not been included, as numerous interpretations are possible; it is up to each individual performer to interpret these directions in their own way. Although the left hand accompaniment has been simplified, all harmonies remain unaltered and the rhythm is identical to the original, thereby having no detrimental effect on the music.
