Level 4 • Commissioned by the Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble in memory of a founding member, this piece uses the “singing bell” technique to convey the text of the spiritual "Give Me Jesus." Chimes are used in the middle section in a very effective way. It is a thought-provoking piece about death and resurrection suitable for the Lent and Easter seasons or concert use.
