Published by Patricia Tanttila Holmberg (A0.852574).2015 Piano Contest This ragtime piano piece is a bit longer and more dramatic than some of the others in the 'Boulder Rags' collection. There is a part in the middle where it goes down to a single line melody quite low on the keys, and gradually works its way up - as one starts at the bottom and climbs to the top of on of the front range peaks. Then up at the top, the view of the plains to the left and the snow-capped back range come into view, and that is reflected in the music, when that low beginning develops into a triumphant theme on top.
