The CD that you get with this book makes it a fantastic purchase. Being able to hear each piece played slowly makes for a quicker study.

The author doesn't include the tab for the lead guitar parts on all the songs- a big disappointment, but if you play around on the fret board eventually you can find the right position to play the lead parts on. Also the breakdown of the songs is accurate, but...

the author doesn't explain the nuances of the notation he uses so some of the songs are difficult to play the first few times. If you are looking for a book to really work through, this is an okay purchase, but still not as good as any of the Hal Leonard publications out there. Also, there is a book available that covers the unplugged album and is authored by Eric. Wish I had bought that one.

  • February 13, 2007 Play Like Clapton!

This is a great way to learn several of Clapton's best acoustic songs. The tablature is very faithful to the original performance and the CD is great at isolating the guitar tracks only. While you won't perform at Clapton's level, with a little practice, you'll amaze...

    yourself. Well worth the money.
