Double Reed Quartet - 2 oboes, cor anglais, bassoon or cor anglais. These short dance movements translate well into the double reed ensemble. Comprising an Allemande, a Courante, a Sarabande, two Minuets and a Gigue, the contrapuntal nature of the music ensures that all parts are interesting and enjoyable to play. The minuets are comparatively easy and could be approached by grade 3/4 players, whilst the allemande and the gigue are more complex.
