  • December 01, 2008 Good Quality

Some play-a-longs are a bit amateurish, but this one is of good quality. Specifically, the orchestra arrangements are a good match for performance solos. I particularly like Serenata and am adapting to play on piccolo.

  • November 07, 2008 I was hoping for better

Some of the songs that I was looking forward to playing are excruciatingly slow. I've played them on the piano before, and I just don't think they are supposed to be that slow (I could be wrong). A few songs are OK, but like I said, I was...

    hoping for better.

  • April 09, 2008 Great Collection. Really enjoyable!

This is a great collection for an intermediate level flautist who needs something enjoyable. I'm a reasonably competent intermediate flautist who occasionally wants something which can sound really great without too much effort. I also love playing with others, but don't always have an orchestra ready or willing...

to play with me! So this collection was ideal. Some of the pieces need very little practice to sound great, while there are one or two slightly more difficult pieces which add a bit more challenge. There is a range of composers, styles, tempos, and keys represented. The orghestral backing is great. I love it!

  • June 29, 2007 Playing with an Orchestra is Fun

This Music Minus One product is a good buy for the beginning to intermediate flutists. With dedicated practice, all of the songs can be learned in a short amount of time. My one complaint is that the flutist sometimes falls flat. I'm sure he's a great player, but...

sometimes the sound isn't anything I'd want to mimic.
