Published by Huey Waldon (S0.8453).These five short interludes, lasting from 15 seconds to a couple of minutes, were written for a Good Friday service at a United Methodist Church, for use in between readings as the readers switched. The interludes are based on well-known Lenten and Holy Week tunes: 1. HERZLIEBSTER JESU 2. WONDROUS LOVE 3. HAMBURG 4. PASSION CHORALE 5. WHERE YOU THERE. All pieces except the last one have no pedal, and even the one with pedal is very easy as it only holds a four-note cluster chord. The harmonies used in these may be too "progressive" for some parishes.
