    Difficulty Level:
  • January 31, 2006 Transcriptions Do Not Follow the CD

First of all, I really do not like the tablature format used with Grossman books. Most tablature these days place the fret location/fingering on the line while this book has it between the lines. It makes it difficult to sight read quickly. This is just an old legacy way...

of tabbing. The "I'm So Glad" performance on the CD is SPECTACULAR but the transcription does not follow it. Nowhere does it state that it does not match the CD performance which is misleading. I cannot vouch for the rest of the book because I lost interest. The expectation of a transcription book is that it follows the song and I am not "glad" I bought it. Perhaps Grossman lost interest in tabbing his performances accurately. I give this a big thumbs down.
