  • January 29, 2013 Excellent early intermediate book

This book hits where a lot of fingerstyle books miss in that the arrangements are simple (early intermediate), but don't sound simple. In addition, the chords are written above each measure, which makes the pieces easy to spice up a bit if you are so inclined. All in all...

, I think this is an excellent book for the beginning to intermediate player. And I think advanced players can use these pieces as a basis for more complex arrangements.

In places this is really good. In others the tune doesnt seem quite right. What you get is the melodies of the songs rather than the tunes. In Nowhere Man and Longwinding Road etc. this is great but there idea of Cant buy me love is not correct. Still its...

    great fun.

  • April 03, 2009 Fun to Play! - Great book!

I bought this book and have enjoyed it a lot. I am an intermediate guitar player. The songs sound great for solo guitar and capture the sound and spirit of the songs really well.

I totally agree with the review I read before deciding to buy this music. They are nice-sounding arrangements that are not too difficult to play. Many can be sight-read. Some pretty songs included. There are some I would have added and others that I would have not included...

. All in all very happy with this purchase. How can you not smile when you hear "Blackbird" coming off of your hands?
