About Fast Track Music Instruction

FastTrack is (you guessed it!) a fast way for beginners to learn to play that instrument they just bought. FastTrack is different from other method books: we've made them user-friendly with plenty of cool songs that make it easy and fun for players to teach themselves. Plus, the last section of all the FastTracks books have the same songs so that students can form a band and jam together.

This book teaches me how to play the bass guitar. It shows me what string and what fret to use in order to play a certain note. It's also useful in accompanying chords.

Always loved bass guitar and recently bought one, but didn't have time or consistency in schedule to take lessons. Excited to get a chance to learn on my own.

I was already playing accoustic guitar when I decided to get this book and learn bass. There's the essentials in music reading and some easy to play beginning songs. I was able to finish the book in a couple of days. Highly recommend it for beginners.

  • August 29, 2005 Great for starters!

I got this book when I first got my bass for my birthday. I learned all the book had to offer in about 2 weeks. It has tabs and brief warm-ups. The bad thing is that it basically has all the frets from one to five, which is a...

downer. So if you want to learn the standard notation for frets 6 and further, it's not here. (It's probably in part 2). But after you read this book you'll be well on your way to impress your friends. So after you get this book, get a songbook with it. Great book overall.
