In his teens Mr. Martino's clarinet teacher carted him around from Italian Feast to Italian Feast: from Brooklyn to Long Island to New Jersey. Italian Band music was the game and Donald was game. Now, some 50 years later the manuscripts inherited from his teacher are being transcribed so you can perform them with piano much as Mr. Martino performed them with Band. This Third Issue by Pontillo based on the obscure opera "Poliuto" by Donizzetti is no less georgeous by this supreme Italian lyricist. (Adaptation-2000).
