Not the cheapest book maybe, but it does pack a lot in. I really like this book - it is personal, full of anecdotes around harps and harp-playing and the authors themselves. It is also packed with the kind of information you need as a new harper/harpist (yes, it...

explains the difference), like care of the harp, replacing strings etc. It also includes a lot of songs, complete with lyrics and divided into 3 categories - ballads and songs; Renaissance; and classical composers, with the songs in each gradually increasing in difficulty. It is interspersed throughout with photos and pictures, the history of the songs... Once you´ve finished playing from it, you can take it and read it whilst enjoying your well-earned coffee! A very good book for beginners to intermediate, maybe even advanced (not there yet myself). Would make a nice present.
